Ghostfreak dodged a killing blow by Spectra's raging fist and used his strong body to slam her up against the wall,making her become dazed as she slid to the ground.
Ghostfreak then took this chance to fly over to the terrified Split,who was trembling violently in her bonds.She had her eyes shut through most of the gruesome battle,wishing that she was somewhere else......anywhere but where she was now.
Split was shocked as two gentle arms wrapped around her,trying to comfort her and chase away her fears.
"It's okay,Split.I'm here.And I'm sorry.I'll get you out of here as soon as I can!I promise!"Ghostfreak looked deep into Split's eyes and could tell that she was beginning to realize who he truly was.
Split saw past that cold,magenta eye and saw the 10-year old boy who had befriended her only a month ago.He waved to her and smiled.That boy was Ben.
Split's eyes teared up again.........not in fear,but in relief.She wanted to yell his name,but her gag prevented her from doing so.
"Shhh!It's okay!Save your strength!You're going to be back w/ Jadell and Aqua soon!I promise!And we'll get something for those wounds as well"Ghostfreak added,gingerly touching the gashes caused by Spectra's claws slashing her face earlier in the battle.
Split nodded.Her eyes then widened as she looked past Ghostfreak and saw Spectra rising from the ground,her eyes full of irate and pure hatred.
"Mmmmmpphh!"She screamed,trying to warn Ghostfreak to turn around.
Luckily he got the message and did.
"What the....??!!"he exclaimed.
"Fools!"Spectra hissed in a raspier voice as her eye flared in malicousness."You cannot possibly defeat me like that!I'm unbeatable!And now........it is time for me to finish you two off.............PERMANANTLY!!!!"
Spectra's sun shielding suit suddenly began to tear even more;Ghostfreak's eye widened as he watched what was unfolding before him.He kept a firm arm around Split as pieces of Spectra's suit scattered everywhere.
Now it was his turn to be afraid..................
